Washing dishes is something we don’t love to do (but we love when they are done). Maybe the dish soap you are using dries out or cracks your skin, or maybe you have a dish soap allergy or eczema. Your red, dry, or eczema-covered hands need some love when doing dishes. Hypoallergenic dish soap is a must! We need to be using gentle dish soap to help out. I have put together a list of what I feel earns the title of the top hypoallergenic dish soaps available, here is what I have found.

Table of Contents
Why are there so few hypoallergenic dish soaps on this list?
This list only contains a handful of dish soaps due to most soaps on the market containing harsh ingredients and/or potential health hazards. I do not feel comfortable recommending products that can cause, or make health conditions worse. The hypoallergenic dish soaps listed here are the most natural and gentle on the market.
Dish Soaps No Longer Recommended
During my annual recommendation review, I found that previously recommended soaps no longer meet the hypoallergenic or non-toxic soap criteria. Here is a list of those removed:
- Eco-Max Hypoallergenic Ultra Dish Wash: Contains SLS
- Nature Clean Dish Soap, Unscented: Contains Sodium Coco-Sulfate (SCS)
- Sensitive Home Dish Soap, Free & Clear: Contains Ethanol and Hydrogen Peroxide (not hypoallergenic)
- ECOS Dishmate Dish Soap, Free & Clear: Contains Phenoxyethanol, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, and Ethylhexylglycerin
- ATTITUDE® Little Ones Baby Bottle & Dishwashing Liquid: Changes their ingredients, contains SCS

Final Thoughts
Regardless of the dish soap you choose from this list, it is going to be better than any other dish soap you are using for your eczema. Remember, this list is so short because all of the other products I have found contained chemicals or were not truly hypoallergenic…Not a good fit for eczema.
My number one choice would be the Purehaven dish soap.
Purehaven checks all the boxes for hypoallergenic, 3rd party testing, non-toxic, organic, and safe for the environment. We have had zero issues with their products, including their dish soap. You have to try them, and if you don’t like them, you get a refund.
